The old town (Altstadt) has many narrow streets with typical German brew houses and nice gardens and parks. The town hall is a historic monument and the city has many churches, each with a unique appearance. The Belgian Quarter is famous part in the center, you will find here many young people and a countless choice of bars and nice restaurants. Also in Cologne you will find many interesting museums. You can admire a ride in the cable car over the Rhine and enjoy the city from above. Cologne offers a lot to explore for young and old!

From large fashion houses to unique boutiques, in the shopping streets Schildergasse and Hohe Strasse you will find everything you're looking for. In another part of Cologne, named Köln Kalk (on the other side of the Rhine), you will find the huge shopping mall, Köln Akrcaden, perfect if the wheater is bad. The Venloer Strasse Ehrenfeld district and the Breite Strasse in the new center are worth a visit as well!

The famous brew houses offer typical German dishes and a big choice of German beers. Cocktail bars are very populair and you will find many in the city, opened till late. On the Ringe you will find many trendy clubs and bars with all kind of music. It's easy to get a cab and public transport runs through the night.
The Christmas markets in Cologne are very popular with national and international visitors. Every year there are new markets and in every market has its own name and story. The most famous once are the on on the Dom square, just in front of our hotel, and the one at the New Market (Neumarkt), in the new center, only 15 minutes by foot away. There are also smaller Christmas markets, such as organic Christmas or a medieval Christmas market. These are just a few examples.
